BRITAIN'S GOT BHANGRA The Musical

A "webisode" from the BRITAIN'S GOT BHANGRA rehearsals at Watford Palace Theatre.

A sparkling new production of  Britain's Got Bhangra the musical, has opened at Watford Palace Theatre - it is a gem of a show!!

It was conceived, written and directed by Pravesh Kumar, music by Sumeet Chopra, English lyrics by Dougal Irvine, Punjabi Lyrics by Bittu Denowalia and choreography by Andy Kumar.

Brigid Larmour, Artistic Director of The Palace was Creative Producer for this wonderful all new Bhangra musical.

I haven't enjoyed a night at the theatre so much in ages - my ribs still hurt from laughing and I think it is mostly Rifco Arts favourite Rina Fatania who is responsible for that -she plays Bibiji and Auntie in the show and is well known for her performances in Bombay Dreams and Deranged Marriage.  The rest of the talented cast include: Shin, the lead singer and driving force behind bhangra band and double platinum disk award winner DCS; Natasha Jayetileke (The Lion King, Joseph, Mahabharata), Sohm Kapila (Coronation Street, Doctors, Silver Street) Rakesh Boury (We will Rock You); Michael Taibi (Jekyll and Hyde, Annie Get Your Gun, Grease, National Theatre and the Globe).

Do try to see this at Watford.  You can book tickets Here
